ZIRparking

The dynamic development of technology and using the Smart City solutions have contributed to the automation of parking services, which provide more convenience today than ever before. As a result of using IoT tools and sensor technology, modern parking systems allow real-time data about the availability of free parking spaces and traffic and road conditions.

Detailed information

ZIR Group offers a wide range of Urbiotica's intelligent parking system. Vehicle detection is implemented in one of three ways: through magnetic field analysis, infrared and magnetic field analysis, and video analytics. The effectiveness of all three detection methods is very high at over 95%.

Vehicle detection - details

Video image analytics is the most sensible solution in areas where the camera can capture multiple parking spaces in one moment - in car parks, shopping centres or Service Areas on motorways or expressways. However, the cameras require installation on high masts (10 metres) and a permanent power supply.
Magnetic detection (U-Spot/U-Spot NBIoT) is a very flexible solution - the sensors are mounted in the pavement, but in the case of parallel parking, the sensor does not have to be mounted in the centre under the car but can be installed in the pavement next to the parking space - this solution makes installation very easy. Communication with the parking system server is via relay stations forming a mesh network (U-Sense 868/915Mhz) or via NB-IoT technology, which uses the mobile phone network, eliminating the need for a network of relay stations. The sensor has a battery life of more than ten years.

Information for drivers – free parking space

The first method of informing drivers about available parking spaces is using a mobile app. It allows the driver to share his navigation with the system, and then the nearly free parking space will be automatically set as a destination.
However, drivers are most likely to use VMS to display the available spaces on a particular street or square. The sizes of the boards, the number of lines or the colours displayed can be tailored to the customer's needs and expectations.
However, an effective method of vehicle detection is not everything. For the sensors to stop being just vehicle detectors and become a solution to a parking problem, software is needed. Urbiotica's software not only provides information about the occupancy of a particular sensor, but advanced algorithms can, among other things, determine the number of free parking spaces in car parks parallel to streets without designated parking spaces.
